The “Materic” Oak is obtained from a process of vaporization which is carried out in special rooms within which an environment saturated with water vapor is created at temperatures ranging between 90 ° C and 100 ° C. Through this process, the action of steam combined with the heat of high temperatures creates a leaching process that allows the elimination of rotting organic substances from the oak and any parasites such as fungi, insects or similar.
Again, the steam, by getting in contact with the natural extracts contained in the oak’s fibers, generates a warm and enchanting color variation that turns into the “materic” oak. This is a product that the steam has been able to make different from all other material: the coloring that takes place not only on the surface, but through every layer and fiber of the wood.
