Parquet in the kitchen
There are many people who think that parquet in the kitchen is not a good idea, in fact often wooden parquet is referred to as a delicate material not to be used in areas subject to major foot traffic or in areas where there are often variations of humidity, such as the kitchen, but actually wooden parquet is a beautiful material, natural, warm and much more resistant than you may think. By taking some small precautions you will experience those feelings that only wood can offer, even in the kitchen, most likely the most appreciated and used place of the house.
The choice to lay parquet in the kitchen could be sought in either an aesthetic factor, i.e. wanting to obtain a warm and familiar enveloping room, or it could be based on a choice regarding the space that is available; nowadays the “open space” concept is widely used in homes, where you can often see a kitchen that connects directly with the living room, without being two separate rooms. In this case the ideal solution is to use parquet in order to make the entire kitchen and living room floor uniform, without any detachment.
The wooden floors of Lignum Venetia are designed specifically for this area; thanks to the quality and the quantity of oil that is used for the various finishes, these floors are strongly stain-proof and water-repellent.
